One more cheer for accountability and not facing things solo. Two apps I want to highlight that continue that theme is Insight Timer and Zero Fasting.

I’m a huge fan of meditation and mindful practices — I credit meditating to saving my life (more on that another time). One of my teachers recommended using insight time so we can support each other. This app functions as a timer, provides spiritual talks and guided meditation, music and a lot more features.

The beautiful part is when you finish your meditation the app shows you who’s finished their session and gives you a chance to express gratitude “Thank you for meditating with me” The app opens to a worldwide map where you can see at any given time how many people are using insight timer to meditate! Collective accountability on the largest global scale!

On the flip I downloaded a new app last night to support rebooting my intermittent fasting (IF)/ vegan keto plans. The app is called Zero and I grabbed the highest rated IF with out much research. I initially thought it was a time with some gamification/data tracking streaks but I was pleasantly surprised last night when I went to log my start time for IF to learn that over 300k individuals are fasting!

I love it as my lifestyle (vegan, techy, hippie) means a lot of things I do – are done as party as one. Not to say my friends/family aren’t supportive but they aren’t getting down with the get down.

I believe in the power of the collective consciousness – not going to get into a rant about the planet but we all know what’s going on and doing positive things together with others is enjoyable.
